Title III
Title III is a federal program to help community colleges to become self-sufficient and expand their capacity to serve low-income students by providing funds to improve and strengthen the academic quality, institutional management, and fiscal stability of eligible institutions.
Ouachita Technical College was awarded Title III funds in 2003. The funds are used for campus planning, faculty development, technology, and for establishment of endowment funds. Administrative management and the development and improvement of academic programs also will be supported.
Title III is divided into two areas
- Activity I works on the areas of retention, professional development, instructional technology, and improving instruction
- Activity II emphasizes increasing funds in OTC endowment
